Hi Liz!!

Every Breeder has their own shampoos and formulas for mixing. You will probably come up with your own mixture. Since Bichons are white and you want them to be white, you should probably use a shampoo that has some ';whitening'; ingredients (which usually means the shampoo has a blue color.) But as you also probably know, some Bichons do have skin problems and you may have to use special or even medicated shampoos.

May I will offer for your Bichon Frise:

Ivory Liquid Shampoo Recipe:

22 oz Ivory Liquid Dish Detergent (or Dove)

2 oz. glycerine (available at drug store)

2 cups white vinegar

Put in a gallon container and full with water

Optional: You can add a few drops of Mrs. Stewarts bluing

Caution! Bluing can be harsh on a dogs skin/coat .

Also you may use a diluted (with water) mixture of Lambert Kay's 10 for 1 Pet Shampoo and #1 All Systems Super-Cleaning %26amp; Conditioning Shampoo.

For conditioning, You may use diluted #1 All Systems Super-Rich Protein Lotion Conditioner. Remember when washing your Bichon, you must thoroughly rinse out the shampoo and conditioner. Rinse, Rinse, Rinse!

Hi our vet recommends hexocil you just rub it in let them run around the garden for 10 minutes then rinse it off :O)
Blue Diamond. you can get it from the pet store. Your dog will be veery white. If it is staining around the eyes you must go to the groomer and have it trimmed (it should be anyway and DO NOT try to do it yourself) But a stain is a stain and it might take a few washes. wash 2-3 times and condition. wait atleast a month before the next bath. Bathing a dog too often will strip its fur and skin of its natural oils and cause dryness and discomfort.
