Is it okay if i bathe my dog with human shampoo instead of dog shampoo?

No. Their coat is not like human hair. It will dry their coat out. It is best to use a dog shampoo. Is it okay if i bathe my dog with human shampoo instead of dog shampoo?
Yes, just make sure it is a mosturizing shampoo. I use Dove for my girls and they Never had a skin problem in 5 years. My vet even agreed Dove was great. Just stay away from the cheap shampoo's.Is it okay if i bathe my dog with human shampoo instead of dog shampoo?
I bathe my dogs with Baby Shampoo. You can't use regular shampoo because if it gets in their eyes it will hurt them. Baby Shampoo is tearless and gentle, and it makes them smell like babies.
A dog's coat is not the same as human hair. You can get some good smelling shampoo at Petco.
no its not!!!! STOP!!!! the shampoo can cause skin problems, hair is going to come out! What ever you do stop using human shampoo!!!! \(%26gt;o%26lt;)/
Check with a vet. You can just ring them and ask.
it is ok a few times but dont use it too many times bacause itwill get rid of the natural oils in the dogs coat. these oils keep the dogs coat healthy!
No, it is not okay. They won't die. But you'll make them less happy and you'll be less happy. Here's why.

Dogs and humans have different pH levels. Use human shampoo and it dries out a dog's skin. Which makes them itch more. Which produces more dander and more hair falling out. Which means your dog doesn't feel as well. And it means you sneeze more and your significant other is saying ';wow--why is your dog always shedding?';.
Dog shampoo is probably better, but I've usually used people shampoo. I like to use the 2 in 1 children's shampoo with conditioner. It's tearless, which makes it easier to clean around her mouth and ears.
idk.
We used mild baby shampoo at a groomers and at a vets office- just don't use something drying. Human conditioner will help if they have dry skin, but an oatmeal based dog shampoo is the best for allergy related skin conditions.
